Getting together for some Easter Weekend splash in Hollywood, Bikini Shell stopped by for the Bunnyland LA Fashion Party with a Mister Triple X Trunk Show feat. Celebrity Fan Bai Ling and a few other designers we missed during LA Fashion Week.

The party was fun and festive with familiar faces like Rocco from FNL and new meet n greets with South American Designer Claudia Gonzalez.

Anne Gorke Stays True To Her Too Cool for Cruel Motto

July 12, 2014- Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, BERLIN : ANNE GORKE SS 2015 : Weimar is the cradle of Bauhaus, and while its principles were first applied to architecture, fashion designers, namely Anne Gorke, have taken those fundamental designs and made them relevant on the runway. Gorke’s green fashion was on display at Berlin Fashion Week with an emphasis on her knack for almost fooling the eye’s ability to decide where form meets function. Well-known for her responsible approach to environmental issues and meeting the needs of a society in constant flux, Gorke’s line consists of the most eco-friendly materials available to demonstrate how “going green” doesn’t mean sacrificing style.

POKO PANO starts off the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim 2015 SS Collections *POOLSIDE*

The Poko Pano collection made a splash  this season as the models walked inside the shallow edge of the beautiful Raleigh Pool. The designers kept hair and makeup simple with low ponytails and natural hues for lips and cheeks, but turned the colors, prints and accessories all the way up with vibrant colors and a full range of cuts for every silhouette. 

There were a variety of prints, ranging from animal prints to delicious tropical fruits. The accessories accentuated every part of the body, with flirty belts and long necklaces to a very chic cross draped on the back of a svelt model. For those wanting a little coverage, the collection included pants, kaftans and a MOD style mesh dress. To end the show, the models made a final lap around the pool dancing to the contagious rhythms of Brazilian music.

Having her spot at Super Saturday at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA benefiting OCRF, newcomer and young wizard Emily showcases her latest trends with REBEL REDEFINED.  Still just a Freshman in College at FIT, she came up with her concept while still in highschool and now here she is with the major players like Versace and Trina Turk just rows away getting swallowed up by all the Super Saturday buyers and family enjoying this beautiful day.

LIFESTYLE RETREAT LOUNGE - LRL  -  MIAMI SWIM WEEK  by JEIMY MARTINEZ

Looking amazing is a must in the fashion industry. This past weekend the James Royal Palm hotel took care of that need as they hosted the Lifestyle Retreat Lounge.  For the fourth annual year the LRL pampered guests as they spent the day sampling complimentary appetizers and drinks from Fifty Pounds Gin, Vida Tequila and the Florida Cookery,  getting their nails designed by LVX, which this season partnered with Mara Hoffman for their swimwear collection, and getting their hair done by a stylist from Safar who had a pop-up salon where they gave all willing attendees 5 minute makeovers. LRL also gave companies the opportunity to present their new collections to industry buyers, and the media. Among those showcasing their brand was Ibiza Passion, whose bright colors added a splash of fun to any attire. Clothing line Long Hair Don’t Care even had a photo booth where everyone had a chance to take playful pictures with props such as fake mustaches and big Mexican sombreros, all while learning about the inspiration for this collection by founder Kasey Murdock who was there giving away complimentary t-shirts. Among those attending were model Nina Agdal,  the face of the event and famous designer Betsey Johnson! The LRL helped everyone relax and step out of the heat for a few hours of fun and networking.

Minimale Animale Miami Swim Week -2014 Collection - COME

South Beach Miami- The OASIS tent at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim 2014 Collections was filled to capacity on Monday July 22 for the Minimale Animale  runway show.  The Venice Beach brand delivered a sexy collection, the silhouette was athletic with barely there bathing suits, lots of playful mesh with one that had appropriately placed palm trees on a once piece suit and a pair of 7’s on a cropped sleeveless mesh top with high wasted bottom that had mesh inserts, as well as jersey inspired cover ups that were reminiscent of the styles from the late 80’s. The models wore minimal makeup, wet hair that was slicked back and no heels or accessories which focused the attention to the suites.  Playful, fun, sporty and definitely sexy, this collection will turn up the heat for summer 2014.

BARRACA CHIC - Moments Resort Collection 2014, SLS Hotel South Beach Miami

South Beach Miami, Florida - Not even the torrential rain could stop the 2014 Barraca Chic collection that took place at the SLS Hotel in South Beach to kick off SWIM week.

This luxury alpine beachwear brand presented a collection inspired by cities around the world, added glitz and glamour by incorporating nearly 10,000 Swarovski crystals set by hand and holiday inspired pieces for all the snowbirds leaving the cold weather behind during the winter. The collection also had pieces for men including a tuxedo-trouser and versatile shorts that dry quickly and maintain an elegant yet sporty appearance. 

The crowd took cover by the side of the pool where couches, lounge chairs and ottomans decorated the space; they also sipped on cocktails and listened to funky beats by the guest dj.
